SOURCE SCIENTIFIC ANNOUNCES CERTIFICATION TO

NEW ISO 13485: 2003 REVISION

GARDEN GROVE, CA, July 20, 2004 – Source Scientific announces its certification to the new revision of the Medical Devices – Quality Management Systems, ISO 13485: 2003. Source is pleased to be at the forefront in acquiring the new revision to better serve the future needs of its customers.

Registrars are recommending that medical device manufacturers currently registered to ISO 13485: 1996 to update their registrations to the ISO 13485: 2003 standard by the end of 2005. They also have stated that some national regulators (outside of North America and Europe) may require ISO 13485: 2003 compliance sooner, dependent on destination of medical device for sale.

Source Scientific’s ISO 13485: 2003 certification is through the Standards Council of Canada Accredited Registrar via BSI Management Systems. Source also maintains certification to ISO 9001: 2000 through ANSI-RAB via BSI.

Source will continue to be certified to ISO 9001: 2000 to meet the needs of its non-medical customers.
